A strain gauge is attached to the elastomer of the Zemic load cell. The strain gauge is located at the weakest part of the element. By applying force to the American Zemic sensor, it will deflect at this point. Due to the deflection of the element, the Zemic sensor strain gauge will be stretched or compressed.
